Our council currently consists of three family members and the occasional participation of others who attend on occasion. None of the current members have taken the time to educate ourselves on the laws, statutes etc regulating Family Council. While we understand it is our meeting, I have only recently taken a silent approach to having it run similar to a JHSC which are regulated under OHSA. Prior to my making amendments it wasn’t really structured and we tended to let a member of staff run it but I am slowly changing it around and making a variety of requests for more accountability.
